twenty of the thirty two boom pumps that sold at the RB Auction last week will be exported out of the US. Twelve were purchased by US companies, and in some of those cases they were purchased for future export. It was also a pleasant surprise how high the bids went for the shorter booms. One possible reason is the international bidders from outside North America appeared to get more active when the booms 36 meters and shorter came up for bid. Three of the five 36s went to UAE and Israel. A bidder from Mexico bought the Schwing 34X, which was a very nice looking unit. Four more auctions will ultimately tell the tale, but I do not think the Ft Worth results were all bad. |

Or were the others waiting to see what prices would be? |

The fact that 62% of the pumps sold went to offshore buyers speaks very poorly of the US market. Even at reduced auction house prices, the US market alone won't support decent pricing. IOW, imagine what the selling price might have been without foreign capitol to help support prices. |

Is concrete pumping in the U.S.A. doomed, unless there is someone out there who can unite this industry. |
