I know unions are controversial with alot of people. I just wanted to know the process, say if the operators in a particular region wanted to unionize to help with better benifits etc. Russ |

I'm located here in California and It's great being in the Union. If it weren't for the Union I wouldn't be getting double time and prevailing wage jobs. You have to be a Union member just to step foot on just about any big job out here. Go Unions! Local 3 |

I'm not union, and I am not knocking unions, but you should be getting double time and prevailing wages regardless. I think it is California law....any day that I go over 8 hours or 40 during a week it is automatic, if anyone isn't getting overtime I'd suggest contacting your state employement agency.... |

Double time--Did you really mean to say time and a half? Thats standard overtime I believe in all states and is guranteed by law to wage earners.
