I would caution anyone to do business with United Equipment Sales. I ordered my pump back on 10 Feb and it was supposed to be a 3-4 week thing. They where having some problems with it. So instead I finally got it on May 29th. It blew a hydraulic hose the first job out. I got it fixed. I had 2 successful 4 1/2 yards jobs and have either blown hoses or other things have gone wrong with the pump since. Yes they are taking care of the price of the repairs. But I have lost way more money on this deal than I ever imagined. I can say I will not be doing business with them again after I get this machine taken care of.

As of September 2016 there is totally new management running the company.  Dick Hibbard is no longer running the company and our general manager and new shop foreman have years of experience in the industry ensuring the past will never happen again.

Jason,

As you know you purchased a refurbished used pump with no warranty.  This means as is where is.  Your pump was pump tested the same way the manufacturer does and it passed all tests.

Your pump was supplied with thousands of dollars of new parts to make it the best possible.  When you had an issue with the new hydraulic hoses that were on your machine we went above and beyond by paying to have them all replaced as well as paying your mechanic to readjust your entire hydraulic system.  There is no one in the industry that would have done this for you on a used pump.

As of September Dick Hibbard is no longer running the company and the new general manager will always go above and beyond to take care of a customer within reason.

I hope you will reconsider United Equipment Sales when you are in need of hose, parts or service.

dick hibbard still owns the place and yea know he retired out long ago and had to come back. but how do you fix years of lies and scheming. you guys owe me a $800- pump boss.and where told not to touch my pump but got your self involved in the thief, purchase and resale of my pump when iam your customer. think about it. and let me know when you would like to make good on that.

Dick is no longer selling or doing anything with the day to day operation of this company.  He does not have an office here etc.  There is a new person running the company, a new shop foreman that comes with 25+ years in the heavy equipment business and we have a totally new sales team.  We are not the old United.   That being said we have spend quite a bit of time and money taking care of upset past clients.  If you truly have an issue I urge you to call the office and we can discuss its validity.

5 simple words: STAY AWAY FROM UNITED EQUIPMENT!

With so many options in the marketplace it is just not worth the risk. The saying "too good to be true" often holds true in dealings with this company.

As an employee of Reed I understand you not liking shops that don't sell your new products.  However in the Northwest we are now the best shop around with the best service and price, we can't be beat.

In the last number of months that Dick has not been here we have changed the whole look and philosophy of the company and are taking care of our customers as well or better than the factory itself.

Until you change your mind on who we are now,  we will continue to direct our customers away from Reed and into equally if not better pumps.

I would hope that as you see the difference in the new company you would change your mind on posting negative things on the internet.

so here is the drift. i bought a pump in 2000 from jeff hibbard. now the gossip is putz did not get paid and united got sued, yea i know times were tough. then you guys started promoting reed, thats fine till you piss off your reed customers. and now reed hates you also. you guys want to sell better pumps, well i would like to sell putz but when talking to dick hibbard he laughs at my face. so why would i need you inferior hose when i can cross the street to premier get the goodyear that you guys quote to me.

should of sued you for the $800- radio you helped your sefts to after i gave you legal notice of being in possession of my pump

thought i would re-post a thank you for the 1875 views and keep this issue on the top of the board for a bit longer. here is a reminder, why have a clear title to a piece of equipment when someone can take your lively hood from you and DMV and the police say OH too bad you lost your pump. and thats how the law works so you have to chase it with attorneys and get lucky.
