I just was on the phone with a friend that went to visit the injured pump operator. He said that Ant’ was in good spirits. The doctors have put plates, etc in his leg. It is broken in three places but is expected to [sooner or later] be ok. He is scheduled for some surgery tomorrow. Some of the bones in his nose and eye area are damaged and they need to ‘reconstruct’ the eye socket. Other complications may delay that procedure. His hand is damaged and has [we hope and pray] been taken care of. Ant’ is solid as a rock; a lesser man would not still be with us. It is so very sad that this happened to one of the nicest guys that I have ever known. I hope to see him after the eye surgery. I will tell him that you are all praying for his recovery.
