We have a few organizations in Ontario. The ones with the most impact are the Ministry of Labour, Electrical Safety Authority and Hydro One. Either of these 3 have the power to just walk in and shut you down regardless. I know cranes have rules but as for my 36Z I have to be at least 15 feet away in any direction. As for going over lines, that is a HUGE NO. Major fines involved there ( If you live to pay them ). The only way to go over lines ( or so I was told ) is if the line has been disconnected with no juice running through it, but that takes an awful pile of planning and coin.

There are Laws for Cranes in place, but minimal if any defined laws for concrete pumps, CSA seems to be in Draft stage for new Concrete Pump Standards.... http://ohs.csa.ca/standards/construction/Concrete_Pumps/Z151.asp |

I just got this email
I can't even believe you would ask such a question on your board. It is more strict in Canada, even criminal.
