How wet is to wet with peat gravel mix. I was pumping off tip of the boom 32z and then 100' of 4" into the building, then 200' of 2and half inch vertical to pour stairs. I was plugging up a lot I was going in the hopper at about a 6 slump how much more can i go and not rock jam 7 8 9???????? And cleanup sucked with 1% in the mix, and the truck was there for three hours. |

Speedy has made some valuable points.I would like to add.As stated the increase of paste will deffinatly be in your favor,1% nca is simply a death wish with that mix.A 7 sack with say 15-20% flyash and your problems will likely go away.Remember they can't finish it if you can't get it there. This is also a matter for the powers to be (political),unless your pump and line.Being well informed on how mixes react is so very important,as well as add mixtures.Good question. |

good points. The only problem with bringing up the cement content is you will make the mud really sticky. You will pump at higher pressures. Was the mud separating or was the pump just not pushing.Air is another overlooked addative to help pumpability. Slick pack is another way to help hold the mud together. 3 inches of slump loss is a lot for 300 feet. It wasn't light weight |
