I have a question about water tanks. Why are all water tanks on new pumps not pre-lined? They seem to rust through fairly quickly. Just seems strange that they would not use a thick lightweight polymer liner to prevent corrosion.

If you have a pump with a rusted out water tank just throw it away. The plastic tanks are the answer. You are right when you say the metal ones are no good. And BTW, I don't believe that the outrigger tanks have a lining, they are just thicker metal and have not decayed...... yet.

Where I work our 05 Schwing 34x Came with a huge Polymere or some kind of heavyDuty Plastic tank In Place of the old steel Tank , Just has a metal guard & looks just like old tanks

Yes the plastics are coming around.They are cheaper to make.If one looks at it there is a basic model and everything beyond that you pay for.

i"m anxious to see in 5/10 or even 15 years what those who have the "outrigger tanks" will do?? does they gonna change the outrigger itself$$$$$$ or just welding and welding again??

personally im sceptic about the idea of the water tanks in the outrigger..i prefer far more a "classic" water tank

I utilize one outrigger for additional fuel storage. However I am not inclined to use the other for additional water storage. I would hate for that one to rust through. I drive a new 2006 model 36z and the water tank has already rusted through. Just frustrated to have problems this early into the usage of the pump.

irun a 06 38z putz i use one outrigger for water &the other for fuel it helps with stability as it acts as counterweight, we put some treatment filters in the water tank riggr t hel with rust
