We have a TKB 45 now. I don't know how to run it yet. Never ran a trailer pump b4. Is this a good one? Let me know what ya think.

check the primary ball seat for build up, it will not allow proper closing and act like it is missing a full stoke. so i use a wall tie with a handle to clear it after wash out, just like a hay hook.

put your thumb up into the surge chamber to feel if its sitting on the cross bar, a quarter inch space is fine but more build up means service and you will need a coffee can to catch the two quarts of hydrolic oil.

if you plug the line just beat it out, if you plug a reducer you should dump the pressure on the surge chamber. so the surge will stay full of concrete and will need sevice but you can still pump slow.

my biggest mistake was bending the hose around and knocking off the reducer under pressure, well it whiped and knocked two of us down.

pump mix maxes out with 1300lb of half inch rock, if the material is too wet it will seperate and plug and if you re-start pumping too fast it can jam the material up in the pump.

the manual says not to run full rpm while not pumping so i put a syncro starter with a head light relay on it, cost me a hundred bucks but the fuel economy is better.

pumps real smooth so when things are good its great but plugs are a nightmare.
