Perhaps it's challenge of economics many are not here.To set up a dealer/factory network may be cost prohibited.Sometimes I believe we are not ready for the better construction/tolerences the europeans have. On that note,it puzzels me why Volvo has not entered the areana since they are already here. But then again, who owns Mack? |

They used be sold here in the states but not many paid attention and they were heavy at the time. Scandia left the states about 10 or so years ago I think. New York still has many of these running around. Great trucks. |

some of the stuff you get over there we had here, ford(iveco) cargo late 80's here turned into ford cf8000 over there, renault midliner/ volvof7 you had as a mack , think its a lot to do with chassis design and regulations , electrics, brakes etc which make it different |

Graft the Volvo Cabover onto the Mack. The steering and clutch are the only mechanical linkages to deal with, everything else is just wires and hoses. It should be a relatively simple task. The shift lever id fitted through a boot in the cab 'floor'. |

pumpjockey | 06-04-2010 | reply profile send pm notify |
The AC on a Mack would be fine if the back wall of the cab wasn't so damn hot!! |

Some AC is better than no AC in these Texas summers. |
