Hello, can anyone tell me the average life (hours) of concrete pump wear plates, both chrome carbide and tungsten carbide, I am a hardfacing company and have been asked to build some wear plates using a new hardfacing product, concrete pumps are new to me Also does the wear ring last for the life of the wear plate? or is the plate surface ground to suit a new wear ring trying to put together some comparitive data thanks |

The cutting ring wears out first usually 2 to one. Many plates and rings are carbide steel. i don't know if you can weld and mill carbide? i thought about having mine done. Any one know if a wear plate on a p-305 is flipable? mine is getting grooves. it looks like you could flip it but the bolts might not be recessed. |

thanks for your reply, the tungsten carbide usually cannot be welded but can be machined if you find a machinest who specialises in this, you may be able to do that to remove groves if there is enough thickness remaining |
