What kind of no stick are you guys using?

Got a sample of stop stick from putz, was wondering alternative products in the market. I know many use hydraulic oil, but as funny as it sounds, I would like it to be a little cleaner and a little more environmentally friendly. I am in Canada if that makes a difference, since some products cannot make it up here due to custom regulations. Thanks!

Talk to the local residential wall guys and ask them what they use, it's all pretty much the same,Expensive! I use hydraulic, I suppose you could lube it up in Crisco. That would be good and green. Or mount a pressure washer on it and just forget about the oil all together.

Romix is the best I have used its environmentally safe and it is awesome lasts all day in 95-100 degree heat, it is fairly expensive though ranging from 8-10 US dollars per gallon.

I agree with 16 Cell Vegtable oil, but keep it in your cab in the winter!

Pudge are you using Romix backset? Or a different Romix product? I love the backset for cleaning concrete build up but never really used it foe a realese agent. If that's what you are using I will give it a try

                                                   Thanks Terry

The romix products are also available in Canada.  www.fleetclean.ca.  Romix released backset platinum at the WOC this year.  Now can be diluted up to 6:1 to keep the cost down.

Romix's Body Guard should work too, but have never tried it.  I'll put it on the to-do list.

All our guys use hydraulic oil.

I am also a wall contractor so I always have a tote of reg. form release but it just hit me that the backset might work a little better. Still waiting to hear if any guys use just backset before pouring. I run a telebelt and all is well with form oil but sometimes you miss a spot or two and then try to get it cleaned off the next time (pia)

Hey Crete,

I'd also be interested to hear from guys that actually use back set.

Its not really intended for that use as its a dissolver, not an anti-stick agent.  It does leave a slimy film on the truck though which would prevent sticking.

For those of you with dark coloured hoppers, it will leave a white residue when it dries that's a result of the sugar cane extract that it contains.  It'll wash off with water though.
