saw quite a few different pumps watching an orientation video.  why do people hard core A frame booms?  i get the 'main and third' al day is pretty easy though i just don't get it?

help.

B-section maxed out.  C-section and D-section pipe in a straight line.  use only main and C-section rams during the pour.

I agree Shortstick. Luckaly I don't see it to much here. Possition of the boom has so much to say about the stability of the endhose. A-frame is rarely the best possition. But it varies from one pump to another. The pump I run now is a b*tch when it comes to ''boom-dancing'' You have to be so spot on with the possition of the sections and the pump volume and revs if you want to pump a bit fast.. Maybe not so strange for a 33m combi pump.. Thats just to big a boom on a combi if you ask me.. It needs an 5th outrigger on the front otherwize it flips over when booming straight out over the cab. Trust me I've tried.. After that we got the 5th outrigger.. ;-)

that is a true sign of a lazy operator who is choosing not to get any better at pumping. time to try out a better company.
