Here's a video on hose whipping,as long as the site is up and running. This is a good example of what a hose can and will do.Now factor in a man on the end of that hose with that s-bend 99.9% of the time he's getting hurt.Use a self reducing hose and stay out of harms way.

PUMPCOM thats is one dangerous setup I would say either get rid of or put the pipe part above the tip hose I had rather get hit by rubber than steel.

I think this post and question is from one "featured member" to the other. From "PUMPCON" to "Buttons"

(and Ruck's right - here we go again......)

at first glance i thought this was a tip over, then i saw it was an optical illusion. then i saw the real problem with this picture! dude i know a hose man who is half retarded because of one of those things! take it off and do your hose man, your company and yourself a big favor.

4in works better on walls On the concrete brake pipe s pipe what ever. you use the weight of the concrete comming down the boom no real line pressure ,and don't take your eye off it .If it plugs and your watching.Nothing Will come of it

Is that a traffic cone ducktaped to the end of the hose?

Sure is. with a little wire for back up of course. Work good.

I gave the guy loads of grief when I first saw it. Then I was sent to a blockfill job and only had a 4" whip so I tried it out? I've used it a few times since, in areas where 2" & 3" hose cant be used it's a safer option than an S bend.
