Everyone on here talks about 52,s 40,s everything big. I drive a 28m putz, And used to get tickets al the time for weight. Then my company got the wheel base longer and now i\'m legal. But my question is do you guys get permit or what. Just alittle curios.

I have two tags I can raise and lower. Ive never had a problem. My last employer paid over weight permits yearly I believe. But all states arent the same so I guess you just have to see what the weight limits are.

Bigdog I live in ILL. north of Chicago. With my wheel base now  i,m around 53.500. I\'m legel now but my wheel base was 18 feet so no more then 50,000.Now 20 feet allowed 56.000. Everything is good now. But you guys driving those big pumps must pay alot to drive them. Good Luck.

I operatre a putz 52 in vegas. i have pumped here for about 3 years and have never been stopped. so i dont know what they do here. i never hit a scale until i pumped in oregon. that was for about 6 months. up there the 52\'s or bigger would have to get a permit every time they left the yard. dispatch would call in everynight before it would leave. i hit a scale up there in my 32m schwing one time and i was 400 pounds over weight. they didnt write me a ticket tho.
