Todd-That's a much more impressive looking piece of equipment than the P40 ever was on it's finest day!  Especially to the brits that flew them.  I had a pic of an old P40 in the dumpster after I took the deutz off!

no one is answering because those are hard to come by,plus they are probably not wanting to encourage you,if I had some I would gladly send them but I think you would be better off getting pictures of modern equipment, reed, schwing, putz, alliance, cifa, sany, olin, mayco, just my opinion

i would not buy, repair or use any pump of that age. things have changed so do not waste your time.

i ran that for a year didnt like it. it was always messy and you cant water wash. cleaning the hooper and cylinders takes a while. and its a hard pump to move with a full hooper. the customers didnt like me because of that pump lol. the day i started running an s-tube things was alot easier. sorry no good news but im pretty sure all the guys that ran the pump would say the same thing.

say it again i redone a mechanical pump a thomsen grout unit. well it was worth less when i was done. so why go there. hey the right pump that will produce a good service will at least break even.

I know I'm going to be hated.

I could recommend several roof tops to jump off of.In my heart I have to say contact Fred (ya know the sponser on the left side).I won't say Fred is old or anything because he was old 30 years ago.

He does know this market and has many resources in his stash.Just talk to him,it will do you good.

Good Luck

A whiteman was the first pump my father started with 28 years ago.  Technology has changed just a bit since then. I have never ran one so I can't say anything about them, but I haven't seen one old timer encouraging the purchase of one.  If that's all you can afford perhaps saving a little longer by working for someone and getting more experience is the wiser decision, especially in this market.

Contact George Clingerman at Transcrete America, I'm sure he has a Whiteman P40 brochure in his collection. Also ask him for Joe Bush's contact number, Joe was with Marv Whiteman when the P40 was being designed and built.

i have a p 40 and i love one of the best light concrete pumps you will find. but it is one of the hards pump to clean. it takes one one time not to clean good and it can be very costly to fix. i uses it as much as i can. there will be a lot to learn about that old pump. mine is a 1965 to 68

And when you were trying to patch one of those Vickers vane hyd' pumps back together you had better not put ant of the vanes in facing the wrong way. An instant education ;~)
