just an opinion poll ,but ,who's next to fall ? will it be all the big dogs with their mountains of debt or will it be one of the little guys ? We have been working on a job in a refinery for some time our service agreement was up for renewal ,knowing competition would be stiff I gave a competitive rate where profit was there but not much room for error , my main competition in the area which for the last few months I had been kicking the shit out of them, and not by cutting prices I was just in a zone of my customers or contacts were getting alot of the local work, anyway this guy cuts all profit completely out of the job after labor , insurance , fuel, benefits, he might be breaking even if that , now where does this get him ? will he be the next to fall with these business tactics ? now work is not easy to come by these days, but why do it if your not gonna atleast break even, personally if I cant make money I will not do it , but if he is hurting this bad and he wants to play hardball should I get down and dirty with him or let him go, I am a very competitive person and think when it comes up next month I will get this job back by playing with the same tactics as he is using, is this fairplay or should I let him go and pump his way out of business ?

What's funny is that nobody is making their payments right now, so everyone can bid lower because they're just running free pumps.  Obviously it's dumb, but when has that ever stopped anyone in this industry?  Banks can't just repo 99% of the pumps in America at the same time.  Les did the smart thing, be the first to get to the auction block while you can still sell something for five digits.

Personally I dont spend much time thinking about such things. I am just working hard to be productive and keep my family fed. I take no pleasure in anyones failings and I hope nobody fails. I know operators who are sleeping in tents and i know good men looking for work. I really dont take much pleasure in anyones failure.
