The worst part about this dent is it happened in our yard the pumps park in the same place every night, every time I look back at my pump I see that dent looking back at me it kills me the only dent on the truck and I didn't even do it. I sometimes wish there was more damage so we would have to fix it, this happened 8 months ago and I still get bent when I see it I just had to vent to people that know how hard it is to keep a good looking truck in this industry that's just 1 reason I have that mixer drivers SUCK!!!

If they will not fix it get a sticker to cover it up. Or Maybe you could shame them into fixing it by offer to pay for it by letting them take 5 bucks a week out of your check.

how about when you have 1000 yds and a clear open space for two to back up and the first guy comes right down the middle? the best is when they give you that look after they get out come to the back and you tell them to make room for another one. "you want two at a time?" DUH!!!

or how about when you are on the 13th floor and the man lift is to busy to take you down after the asshole driver hits your e-stop without turning it back on?

They are the most inconsiderate towards the pump guy and each other I know I ran and still do from time to time a mixer for 7 yr. there is nothing hard about that job and they are so lazy, I have about 60 mixer drivers in the company I work for and most of them are good guys ask if I have plenty of water wow that always throws me back, then you get the ones that think pumping is easy I say yea when there's no system and no problems operating is the easy part when everything runs smooth

Have not had that problem yet JJJ my guys know not to touch my pump unless I tell them to how about when the contractor uses ur water and doesn't put the augers back on (putz water and augers rite next to each other i don't know about others set up)

Remember MC and JJJ,mixer drivers think the same about us pump operators.

Their job ain't so easy, either.  They have to deal with traffic, big-time!

Our job is more than just a big, real-life video game too.

Any job is simple enough when the stars are shining upon you, but when the gremlins attack, look out!!

The pumping industry needs to take a lesson from the crane industry.  We really need to step it up a notch.

We kinda got of-topic there, but how about a little bondo in that dent, and paint 'er up!!

bisley57--- they aren't paid to think, so who cares?!!! hahahha. i used to love the rm drivers, i still have guys in san francisco who's hands i would shake with a smile on my face. the real problem is the lack of proffessionalism(?) displayed on the job site's by these guys, and that is the owner's fault. they don't care about their machine's, your machine and the quality of the product they are hauling to the job site. they're underpaid, so why should they? the companies hire dummies who they can manipulate easily. proof of that is the advent of the automatic trucks being brought in more and more. the owner"s figure these guy's are too stupid to train on a manual so they put them on auto and let them go to town after a week. so when they are stupid and apathetic, it's no big surprise anymore.

for me personally, I love the mixer drivers that hit pumps. It is a great source of revenue for me , also pump operators that break pipe arms after a boom party. Your pain is my gain kinda thing . LOL

Putzman1975, that's precisely the reason why my vibrator is on the underside of the grate.

Mixer Drivers in Queensland seems to be cool and easygoing except for a couple. They are really helpful and usually have no issues with anything. What peeves me off is when you have those argo drivers that wants you to hurry up so they could go off as soon as they can. Owner drivers that wants to make too much money.

i had one last winter. there plant broke down and they had to fetch it from another plant a bit further away. the last driver couldn't be arsed to fetch the makeup load and all his buddies had gone home. the rep had to go to another plant further away still and get a contract mixer driver out of his bunk to bring me the last load. 3 hours i waited for the last load thank god it was cold. CEMEX suck

cause they're at mine lol

western canada mixer operators pretty much make the same as a pump operator.  there were a few years when the mixer operator over flowing the hopper was paid more then the me running a boom pump.  the worst are the old grumpy bastards.

Consider this, every day is different, different personnel, different job sites, different mixes, different supers.........Can you imagine how efficient a pour would go if day after day you had the same situation, the only thing that would be different was the weather.
