It should ,it maybe a little rocky but I think it should go , maybe go up on the sand some but I would give it a shot. |

PourItOut | 09-08-2009 | reply profile send pm notify |
With that much stone, probably a 4000psi or better |

Now I know why sheep shake in wyoming,sounds scary to me.You didn't mention pump,line used.Sorry but these things just rattle my cage,watch for flashing.It's just a coarse mix to me,if in doubt test pour that crap. |

No it won't, I've been there done that. Too much rock, 1875 on rock is about the limit for me and we have great dense rock. I have been sent pea rock mix with those amounts and it wouldn't even pump pasted the turret. It was designed for tail gate only. But good luck. If you have too (like I did once send it back and add sand and cement) . Then it pumped. Once on a deck pour they sent that mud with 150' of 4" system. 80 yds. We got it pumped but had to send one truck back. Beat the crap out of my poor pump pushing 200 bar all day. |

I did suggest a test run on the mix,,, if it does pump, going 5" line |
||
pudg | 09-08-2009 | reply profile send pm notify |
is it linepumping or boom pumping ? I took it as goin thru the boom 4" that would be tough and that much pea gravel would not but river rock 3/4 to 1" it should go thru a boom with a s-tube or rock valve. |
||
pudg | 09-08-2009 | reply profile send pm notify |
and with that much rock and that much cement its probably a 5-6000 psi mix |

Now that I think about it. It probably will pump through a boom with 3/4" rock, being its a 6 bag mix. Make sure your systems tight no loosing grout through the cutting ring. |

Its not far off the old proportional mixes we used to do over here, 1:2:4 was a good basic cheap mix that pumped , depends alot on the quality of the sand. Maybe a little extra splash of aqua may help it along! |

murf | 09-08-2009 | reply profile send pm notify |
also is the gravel graded or single size? |
||
peter pumper | 09-08-2009 | reply profile send pm notify |
if it is gap graded it wont pump |

I trust you will let us know the outcome,some varied opinions on this on.Personally I feel it's harsh and if it's a spec job (slump) it could make it worse. Oh,watch out for that salesman with the bucket of super Pee Pee. |
