Are trucks waiting for you, or are you waiting for trucks?  Can the guys on the concrete vibrators keep up?  Less than 3 minutes a load should keep anybody happy.  Can the plant batch any faster than that?  How long does a slump and air test take?

Bases we were belting was around 600 yards a piece, took us 6 hours to complete each base.

The Batch plant they put up could only supply us 100 yards an hour. As long as you dont have many trucks waiting for you to belt, I wouldn't worry about it.

It gets monontinous though, let me tell you. lol. We did about 50 of them. We found out the best way to do them is to put about 30 yards in the center, then start going around the outside, leaving a 3-4 ft gap between the walls, then go around the outside of the center and build it up. Once you are almost topped out at the center, go around the edge, leaving a 1-2 ft gap then top the base off.

Might work different for you since the bases are smaller, but the problems we were running into was the concrete was avalanching down against the walls and they didnt want cold joints so the method above is how we did it.

Glad you got windmill work! Its a good gig for some good $$$ :)

Trucks got backed up for a short time between rounds then there was a wait for trucks. No stopping for testing they just put a shovel next to the chute of the redi mix truck and stole what they needed without slowing down the pour. With the wait on truck service we were a little less than 100 cy/hr.  Vibratoe men never told me to stop once, I know they could have finished sooner if concrete service was better.Yes Brandon they poured just like you explained always watching the outer edge to not get a cold joint at the outsice form. Very stressful just wondering what could go wrong with the telebelt @ wfo throttle, but absolutly no problems. and yes the yardage fee going over the belt is nice. Terry

Wind mill farms no thanks. Been pumping for to long for that shit. you young guys can have it. The one we did they wanted to work 16 to 18 hrs. a day. They make you go through safety classes to stay safe and then they kill you with the hours, STUPID.
