A while ago I had a 36m down in a hole where demo personnal  were rigging charges for blasting. I was asked not to use my wireless remote reason being our frequency might activate. no problem, safety first. I have been on others sites where they are blasting as we are pumping. I have asked around  and no one seems to know if that is possible. just curious to know if there is the possiblity of that happening ?

won't say it can't happen not sure it would but i don't blame them for being overley cautious.

I have seen signs on the road not to use CB's because of blasting ahead. Same chance.

It may not have been, or even probably wasn't even necessary........ but what if it was? I mean really, what did it hurt to take that time to be sure?

  DO YOU IMAGINE THAT ALL THE CELL PHONES AND WIRELESS LAPTOPS GOT TURNED OFF?  IN THE OLD DAYS(20 YEARS AGO) TURN OFF TWO WAY RADIOS WAS THE SIGNS, THINK OF THE POSSIBILE LISTS NOW...

I am reminded of an article that I read about cell phones and static elect'. It seems that a cell phone can, under the correct circumstances, cause your car to catch fire while fueling. According to the article this usually happens in the winter when the humidity is very low. Static from your vehicle's seats (getting in and out of your car while fueling) is also a problem a problem area. On most, but not all, gas pumps here in GA there are warnings about this. Check it out the next time you gas-up a vehicle; also check out all the phoneYACKERS that have such important conversations that they cant put the phone on the seat while they are pumping gasoline. YTAO !!!!!!!!
