I pumped for a new client last week, so my wife came out brought coffee and while i had a break she operated our 36, which was her machine for 3 years until she went in the office. After she left the client tells me he doesnt like woman on site so dont let it happen again! wtf! needless to say he was asked to take his business elsewere!

A male dominating world for sure.Yesterday I was watching the NHRA qualifing rounds at Norwalk,Ohio and couldn't help but see the women now in the sport.I can only guess as to why people think like that,a good show to watch "heart like a wheel" is a example. You go girls

Well as long as they know how to: set up a, turn and burn, pump a wet screed, fill drop footings, able to climb up and clean out a packed turret, deal with 100 yard pours that have a time limit of two hours and a MOODY BIG SHOT contractor. Organize truck turn arounds for 10 RM trucks on a muddy site. Oh and deal with perverted under sexed finishers I say WHY NOT..

oh god... I seen a study that women have lower accidents and lower risk drivers, and better workers than men because they are more cautious and not as carefree as we are. Everything you described is not rocket science... How does a undersexed husband, boyfriend, males they encounter on a day to day basis in public and that at work change that of a finisher? It doesnt... How many female nurses and doctors pull 12 hour shifts day after day? Many. How hard is it to really use your common sense judging space and conditions according to trucks? Not that difficult at all... You lack respect for women and dont give credit where its due, and you clearly have ego issues with a comment like that. People seem to speak their mind on this site theirs mine.

Completely agree with Pumpsafe.. And I think girls have an extra talent over men.. They will much easyer get some help if things get heavy..

If you start open pipes and elbows on the boom you should be with 2 persons anyway if you want to do it safe.

Not saing any woman can do it.. But that also goes for men.. You have to have it in your blood.. I've seen 23 year old boys that blow away in a stiff breeze and 19 year old girls that could knock me out with one punche..  It all depends on the person.. Not the gender..

And about the oversexed finnishers.. We have a girl here on a RM truck that fits in very cool. She's realy nice and good looking but if its about sexism she beats all of us. Wow what comes out of that mouth and mind is unbelievable ;-)

If she comes with the last load of the day she always asks me if I'm gona emtpy myself in her ass afterwards.. haha she means if I'll pump empty the hopper in her RM truck..  (sorry for the language Todd, just had to give the example)

I've got nothing against women, I'd like to leave the sex comment aside, yeah it inappropriate. But as far as any one can do it. That is not even close in my neck of the woods. Male- Female sure. But when the shit hits the fan.. My company and area doesn't have a BACK UP PUMP or a boss to come save you. I pump for many many different finishers and EVERY JOB could be they're last if problems occur. Pump driver needs to be the best mechanic in the county. It takes a special breed to run a pump in NorthMN and survive!

'Anyone can do it' is of course BS. We all know you have to be cut from the right wood to be a real pumper. Just saying the sex doesn't have to matter. Its the person.. Not whats hanging between its legs ;-)

Must admit about 99,999% of the pumpers I know is men. Actualy I only know of 1 women driving a pump and thats a girl in germany that has been in the Putz magazine a long time ago. I believe she drove a 24 meter something..
