Bad news for Schwing. When your title said placing boom I assumed it was on a building but it wasn't. Prayers for the family.

Rather than speculation.......I think some solidarity in the industry, and heart fealt condolences should go out to all involved.....REGARDLESS!

THE TRUTH WILL ALWAYS COME OUT, so the conspirators can keep on ice till then.

39 meter, I heard there was a recall on some of the turret bolts on certain booms, I could be wrong but I heard that today.

G`day Mates,

Just revving up for a new day with a cuppa. What TODD reckons is such a load of bull. I don't know.

Todd you can go skydiving and on your bike and things but don't put out any panic like messages saying "I heard something ....:"   Shit man, I'm out now with my SCHWING and AOK.

Yes, poor lad in VIC.

Just got a call from a MATE in Canada to explain thingsl

OK

MATE means pal, friend etc.

CUPPA means cup of tea or  coffee or.....!

VIC means State of Victoria, south east Australia. There where the world ends. Eccept for NZ and their funnly little birds and PLATTIPUSSES!  Yes .... google PLATTIPUS!  Weird!

If Schwing was a sponser, you wouldn't say anything.  Where did you "hear" it Todd.  Terrible double standard!

I heard it from a Schwing owner, he told me Schwing replaced the bolts, that there was a recall and his pump was not on the list for the recall but they replaced the bolts anyway.  I would say your right double standard if I never posted anything about other mfg, but I do, look at the others in Canada and in the USA those where not Schwings. I guess bringing up a recall is bad in your eyes? Yes I would like to have Schwing as a sponsor but I am not going to treat them better than my sponsors, why would I do that.

Why don't you call Schwing and ask them if there was a recall for those bolts before you lash out at me. I am not saying the bolts broke, I don't know what happen but I would keep an eye on my bolts if I owned a 39.

Hey jaybee  I would not of posted it if it was not from someone I trusted.  Look it up, call Scwhing. If it's not ture than let us know. Now I was told this recall was in the USA I dont know if it was a world wide recall or not.

If there was a recall and your pump was not on the list I would still want to look at it and double check it. Just look at what happen to Carl Walker and his 52 meter. He got a call, mfg asked him to check a part, found out it was not on a the list so the part was not replaced and a little while later that part broke and the boom crashed down and killed two guys. I dont think there is anything wrong with talking about a recall.

Personaly I wish the recalls were public. If Toyota has a recall it goes out on the news, I dont know why you Schwing guys get so upset anytime Scwhing get brought up in a negative way. Nobody is saying anything bad about Scwhing

Todd, Please note that that information you recieved is incorrect. Schwing does not have a recall in place for bolts or any other part of a 39.

Very sad and sorry for every one involved.

I think it couldnt get any worse, its a pumpers worst nightmere.

We can all help one another, with the power of this site, internet and shareing

information with eachother knowledge is power.

If we wait for the manufactures we will be f####d.

If someone has shared information on a particular proplem or fault. It doesnt cost you anything to

do a visual inspection on your own machine which you shoul be doing frequantley.

Instead of getting defensive of particular manufacturers they all have faults,  I'm yet to see a perfect machine.

Lets be more productive and we will all be better for it.

Take care.

For any pumpers in Australia looking for work, head to Canberra in the state of Victoria! plenty work when you get there... lol

I remember changing all the bolts on a 39. There was 4 broken bolts, it was a good thing the guy running it noticed!

I hope you took that operator out for shrimp on the barbe,I would want him working for me.

Canberra is not in Victoria, its in the ACT.........and the turret bolts cannot be visually inspected on a 39 (you need to put a bar and socket on them to gauge whether there is any movement (as per the maintenance manual))

So I guess the guy who found 4 cracked had x-ray/ultra-sonic vision...
