That was a very graphic video and gave my gut a bit of a twist, but sometimes we have to learn from others mistakes to become aware of the very real dangers involved with concrete pumps. Kudos to Meales for taking the time to produce this safety video.

those are lessons i dont want to learn the hard way.  Some good WCB brain washing, "A Worker has the right and responsibility to Know, Participate and Refuse."

it should be the pump companies who put out safty videos.  who else knows better?  WCB?  ha.  and who's paying the insurance bill.  the machine dosn't know if its crushing rock or bone and WCB is at the scene after the fact.

it all starts with the operator. first construction job i worked, the work safe motto was "Dont put you fingers where you wouldn't put your dick."  simple. it worked when looking out for myself.  now ive got a 32M(which is enough for me) instead of a hammer of possible destruction.  i'll take all the info from experience i can get.

Koodos to Meales.  that video will make all who've seen it think.

Good stuff! Even those with years of experience benefit from clips like that one. I think a series of vids like that one would be a better teaching & learnig tool than long drawn out movies that try and cover too many subjects for one sitting.

My favorite part... We didn't have to gather in a pizza joint and wheel in a VCR/TV to see it! I have the 12 tape ACPA video set but I'd rather have a digital version.
