Hello out there. This is my first post on this forum. I am about to place a Schwing WP500X into service. Anyone out there have any experience on this pump. Any recommendations, suggestions, do's or don't do would be greatly appreciated. Fred - Concrete Man

Welcome ConcreteMan.

What were you doing right before you lost your mind and joined this bunch - 0 - pumpers?

PLEASE do everyone in your family a favor and read your manuals before you go out on your new toy. We want you back home SAFE after every pour. ;~)

As we say in my company, put the sh*$ in the hopper, push a couple buttons and pull on the lever. Have fun, those 500's are great little pumps, take care of it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm very happy to be here. History - Been in the concrete construction business for 12 years. Got tired of paying upwards of $70,000 per year to my line pump man (although he is a terrific individual). I figured "it ain't brain surgery". Although I could be wrong. Plan to mount the pump on a 19 ft flatbed together with a water tank, pressure washer and air compressor. Wish me well. But at close to 70 I don't think I will be rolling those hoses. Hey Smooth - Just been watching a lot of pumps over the years and decided the Schwing or Putz were probably the best. After searching for a couple of months ended up with this one. Fred - The Concrete Man

WATCH OUT FOR THE HOPPER BEING TO HIGH WHEN MOUNTED ON TRUCK. I think you will be better off keeping it seperate. I wish you would look at a reed . THey are smooth. we own 4 of them. ask anyone one hear which pump is smoother. I would bet they all would say reed.  GOOD luck. JUST keep track of your mix designs. this will help for different ready mix companys.  PLaese be safe keep your hand out of the hopper when running. have good chritmas!!
