My first all by myself pour was 1500 feet of 5 (vic) up the side of Copper Mountain, Colorado. Lift tower bases. My second pour was the same 1500 feet down the mountain. The second day was THE learning experience. :8o:

Sounds like one heck of a first job Bob! Did you say the pipe had vic. ends? I am sure it was a learning first job. Thanks for sharing. http://www.pumpoperators.com/brian/ I love to pump concrete. It is in my blood. I will do whatever it takes to do the job right and safely! Almost 20yrs under my belt and still learning. This message was edited by BrianABarone on 2-5-06 @ 1:24 PM

My first day Brian was after two days training they sent me out on a 530 yard panel pour, they had no choice since the job was booked.I covered three men with concrete because I was laid flat out and stroking as fast as I thought I could and of course the boom bounce on the old 36 meter was terrible. Not to mention that i had no real grasp of the controls. The job was so spread out that I had to make two additional moves and in the mean time I sprang a severe hydraulic leak.At the end of the 7 hour pour the Foreman came up to me and said that it was obvios that I was new and thanked me for not hurting anyone and getting the job done quickly.Wecome to Southern California pumping....
