A Fort Hood soldier was killed this morning in a two-vehicle collision in Killeen.

Eric Willis Mooney, 25, was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry east in the 500 block of U.S. 190 at 7:24 a.m. when the car entered the median and then crossed over into westbound traffic near Fort Hood Street, Killeen police said. The Toyota was attempting to get back into the median when it was struck on the driver’s side by a concrete pumping truck, police said. Mooney was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Mooney had medical conditions that may have been factors in the crash. The wreck is under investigation.
