New Big Rock Improves Flow, Reduces Wear 2002

June 15, 2002 Schwing has refined the successful E-Rock concrete sequencing valve with the new Big Rock. The new model replaces the two-piece E-Rock with a one-piece casting. Better flow characteristics are realized with the Big Rock along with significant reductions in wear because of a smoother transition within the casting. Owners of E-Rock equipped pumps can convert to the Big Rock.

The Big Rock is standard equipment on the S 58 SX – the longest boom pump in North America and optional on other boom pump models including the versatile 31 HT with telescopic boom. Because the Big Rock utilizes an extended housing, the feeding of harsh mixes is enhanced.

The Big Rock continues to enjoy all of the features of the exclusive Rock Valve including the lowest cost per yard in maintenance costs. The Rock Valve is also the only completely rebuildable valve design on the market which contributes to increased operational time for the concrete pump owner.
