Schwing Announces Thomas M. Anderson Award For Lifetime Achievment 2006
The Schwing Dealer Meeting and reception prior to the World of Concrete 2006 in Las Vegas included generations of concrete pumpers past and present, many of whom are the true pioneers of the industry. At the conclusion of the meeting, Gerhard Schwing, President of Schwing Group, announced for the first time, The Thomas M. Anderson Award for lifetime achievement honoring outstanding contributors to Schwing America and the concrete pumping industry. The first recipients of this prestigious award, were Steve Merli, founder of Merli Concrete Pumping, Gardena, CA, Duane Perrin, founder of American Standard Concrete Pumping, Los Angeles, CA, Dale Bone, Sr, co-founder of Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping, Kent, WA, Ken Williams, founder of Pumpcrete, Toronto and Ray Smith, founder of Smeco, Kenner, LA.
Gerhard Schwing praised the lifelong accomplishments of the recipients and Tom Anderson for whom the award is named. Each recipients named will be engraved on a display at Schwing’s America’s factory in White Bear Lake, MN.
