Schwing Atlanta Hosts Safety Seminar and Open House 2002

On November 16th Schwing representatives at the Atlanta, Georgia plant opened their doors to owners and operators of pumping equipment for the 2002 Safety Seminar and Open House. Guests remained on plant grounds for a day of safety seminars, pump demonstrations, tours, food and games. Seminars for operators began in the morning. Topics included preparation and transport to the job site, pump set up, hazards on the job, cleaning and maintenance, and attitude and coworker safety. Operators who attended the safety seminar were tested for ACPA certification.

In the afternoon, owners and operators were treated to demonstrations of the latest boom pumps from Schwing America, Inc. Visitors were impressed with the smooth telescopic action of the new S 31 HT boom pump. Guests were guided through the line pump manufacturing facility and the largest boom pump servicing site in the Southeast. Schwing’s Atlanta location also houses a paint facility that offers used pump painting as a service to existing Schwing owners. Attendees were served a home-style barbecue meal, and participated in games and door prize raffles.
