SCHWING DELIVERS LARGEST SINGLE TRUCK MIXER ORDER 2003
Aggregate Industries, Eagan, MN recently purchased 30 ready mix trucks from leading concrete construction equipment manufacturer Schwing America, Inc., White Bear, MN. The large delivery, which marked Aggregate’s first Schwing purchase, was executed in one day.
Aggregate Industries is a worldwide producer of high quality, aggregate-based construction materials, with headquarters in the US and the UK. They are the seventh largest aggregates producer and the eighth largest producer of ready-mixed concrete. From their offices in Eagan, MN, the company purchased the Sterling truck-mounted concrete mixers from the Schwing Stetter Booster Series. The trucks will be distributed throughout their north central service region, including locations in Northern and Metropolitan Minnesota and North Dakota.
Each mixer was finished with Aggregate Industries paint scheme and graphics in Schwing’s state-of-the-art 75,000 square foot paint facility in White Bear, MN. The 30 truck order was then delivered with a crew of drivers.
"We recognized Schwing as a growing player in our industry," said Norm Jagger, Aggregate’s General Manager / Vice President. "The low center of gravity was an important factor in our decision. And being a local company, we knew we’d have the best in service and support from their White Bear Factory." Schwing Stetter Booster Series mixers enjoy the lowest center of gravity in the industry for enhanced on-road stability. They are equipped with several features designed for operator convenience, long wear life and efficiency. The head and shell of the drum are constructed with chromium abrasion-resistant steel. Reversed lip mixing blades provide optimum mixing and are also made of heavy-duty steel. The 11-yard capacity drum is designed with a low profile for fast charging and mixing. A 125-gallon side-mounted pressurized steel water tank with 30-foot wash down hose allows for easy clean up on site. In-cab controls and rear controls are standard, and an optional rear pendant control is available with a 25–foot cord. Wireless remote is also available.
Schwing America is also a leading manufacturer of concrete boom pumps, placing equipment, fire booms, environmental equipment, concrete batching equipment and recycling systems. For more information, contact:
